Vacuum Forming
Vacuum Forming is probably the most common form of thermoforming (or heat forming). This method of the plastic forming process first requires heating the plastic sheet to a malleable state. Next, we engage one atmosphere of pressure, by pulling a vacuum on the mold, to press the plastic against the mold. The Vacuum thermoforming process results in parts with large radii, and not much detail, and is appropriate for a large variety of parts.
