Pressure Formed Surgical Imaging Technology
To begin, ATI chose the pressure forming process to custom thermoform the parts for GE Healthcare’s OEC Elite Miniview C-arm. Importantly, we are able to yield sharp radii where the various parts fit together, using the pressure forming process. Next, we used multi-part assembly to form the completed part. This part requires a variety of very detailed secondaries. We then employ fabricated blocks, as well as bosses, which require multiple operations. Lastly, we attach these secondaries to the part with adhesives and precision fixturing, resulting in the completed part.
